UPDATE as of 3:45 p.m. Sept. 7: The following schools will follow the reduced day schedule on Sept. 8:

Due to the projected excessive heat, Robeson Elementary School and Hedgepeth/Williams Intermediate School will follow the reduced-day schedule on Thursday, Sept. 7, and Friday, Sept. 8.
Trenton's Ninth Grade Academy (TNGA), Grace A. Dunn Middle School, Gregory Elementary School and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School (MLK) will follow the reduced-day schedule on Thursday, Sept. 7.
All other schools in the Trenton Public School District will follow the full-day schedule. After-school programs at Dunn, TNGA, Gregory and MLK on Sept. 7 are canceled, and Robeson and Hedgepeth are canceled on Sept. 7 and Sept. 8.
The district continues its ongoing efforts to create safe places for teaching and learning. Currently, 23 out of 25 schools have air conditioning, and Hedgepeth and Robeson’s new system is in the works.
The district will notify Dunn, TNGA, Gregory and MLK families by 10 a.m. Sept. 7 if there is a need to follow the reduced-day schedule on Friday, Sept. 8. Student and staff safety is a top priority. We apologize for the inconvenience.
